Laboratory Systems
A laboratory often presents the need
for advanced HVAC systems, controls, and safety systems.
Laboratory exhaust hoods come in many different
configurations and styles that
necessitate flexibility on the HVAC design.
Predominantly, a variable volume hood exhaust system is used
in order to conserve energy when conditioning the make up air for
the space. The controls
required to make this system operate are critical in their speed of
response and accuracy for safety to be maintained.
Another issue that must be considered is what type of exhaust
equipment will be used to propel the fumes away from the building.
